How does online counseling work?
It is as easy as e-mailing a friend. Once you have paid for a online counseling session you will receive an email asking you a few brief questions. Once we receive these questions back we will set up your first online counseling session using secure email.
How can we offer affordable counseling services?
A large percentage of the fees charged for traditional counseling go to cover overhead expenses of operating a commercial business office. Online counseling is efficient for both the client and the counselor. It is a win/win situation and affordable.
How do I know my information will be kept private?
We adhere to all of the standards of practice and practices set forth by The American Counseling Association's Code of Ethics including part B: Confidentiality. The Code of Ethics.
Can I quit online counseling if I choose?
Yes, it is always your choice to discontinue online counseling.
What Does LLPC stand for? (Limited Licensed Professional Counselor)
The American Counseling Association requires that all counselors earn a minimum of a Masters Degree in Counseling that entails very long internship under strict supervision. In addition, after graduation counselors remain under the supervision an experienced mentor trained in supervision of LLPC counselors. On an average, this mentorship continues for an average of two to three years. This is a mandate set for the by the National Board of Certified Counselors to insure only impeccable service by counselors. All counselors remain at LLPC licensing until this mentoring period is finished.
What is the CFLE credential? (Certified Family Life Educator)
The National Counsel on Family Relations grants the CFLE credential. A Baccalaureate degree is required with numerous course studies in the following ten Family Life Substance areas.
